Photon Density Population Analyzer
Laser Scattering Radar Analyzer
The principle
In order to record the homogeneity of products, different particle sizes that generate different light diffraction, i.e. multi scattering effects, are recorded and counted by evaluation electronics and sorted into length classes according to the individual signal lengths.
The signals are recorded within the sensor at a wide coupling angle and a lens system and displayed as a signal length distribution.
The resulting distribution of all signal lengths in a time interval represents an extended signal distribution from the multi-scattering area.
The size-proportional signals are recorded and displayed from a particulate material system of disperse phase systems, which arise through multi-scattering effects under process conditions.
Alle Rohsignale werden abgespeichert und können direkt an die Prozessleittechnik des Betreibers weitergeleitet werden.
Practical course
The quality of the process can be determined and controlled on the basis of previously defined tolerances for the “fingerprint” of the measured product.
The system calculates the course of the current trend.
In the event that the tolerance limit is likely to be exceeded, the unit issues a warning message and determines the time until the limit is exceeded. If the trend changes again, the warning message is deactivated and the process is proceeding properly.
Application advantages for the user
Optimized monitoring and recording of e.g. crystallization processes,
Detection of the start point of germination and monitoring of the ratio of fines / roughness by means of optical density distributions and determination of the end point of crystallization.
PAT monitoring as a fingerprint of batch and continuous processes, which guarantees consistent product quality.
Control of automatic sampling, which reduces laboratory times
Recording of agglomeration and deagglomeration processes
